Explore Your Future at Shell Hebert Career & Technical Academy
Where Your Support Becomes Real Change
Under the SHCTA 501(c)(3) umbrella, we run youth development, workforce readiness, and community support programs that serve Harris, Fort Bend, and Brazoria counties. These initiatives turn generosity into skills, stability, and new futures for teens, emerging adults, and their families.
Our Core Programs & Initiatives
Each program is a piece of the bigger picture: youth who are confident, work-ready, supported, and connected.
Workforce Readiness & Career Pathways
Helps youth explore, prepare for, and enter high-demand fields including healthcare, IT/STEM, logistics, management, and skilled trades through real-world skill building and guided career planning.
Financial Literacy & Life Skills
Prepares young people for adulthood with practical money management, decision-making, and everyday life skills so they can move from surviving to planning and thriving.
Youth Development & Leadership
Creates safe, identity-affirming spaces where youth build confidence, voice, and leadership through mentoring, service-learning, and culturally grounded experiences.
Wellness & Support for Diverse Learners
Supports youth and families navigating behavioral, mental health, or neurodivergent needs with strategies, referrals, and environments designed to be flexible and inclusive.
The Bridge Pantry: Food & Essentials
Provides groceries, hygiene items, and essential supplies to youth and families, reducing the stress of basic needs so they can focus on stability and long-term goals.
Work-Based Learning & Internships
Connects youth with job shadowing, internships, and real-world work experiences, plus coaching on professionalism and workplace culture.
Digital Access & Technology Pathways
Closes the digital divide with devices, connectivity, tech skills, and exposure to IT/STEM pathways for youth who are often left out of the tech economy.
Community Service & Outreach
Youth-led service and outreach projects that strengthen neighborhoods and show young people the power of their voice and action.
