The Bridge Youth Success Center
Launching January 1, 2026 in Missouri City, TX, The Bridge Youth Success Center helps youth cross from struggle to stability through flexible education, wraparound support, and real-world career pathways.
A safe, supportive pathway for youth who need more.
The Bridge Youth Success Center is a specialized branch of SHCTA serving youth who face the biggest barriers—foster youth, youth in group homes, pregnant and parenting teens, homeless and housing-unstable students, and youth who need nontraditional school options.
Our focus is simple: Stability. Support. Skills. Success. We combine flexible academics, career education, basic needs support, and community mentors so students can move from surviving to thriving.
Students at the edges of the system.
In and out of placement
Youth navigating foster homes, kinship care, or transitions out of CPS who need stability, consistent adults, and a flexible school home.
Students in residential care
Young people living in group homes who benefit from small class sizes, trauma-informed staff, and predictable structure.
Teens raising babies
Teens who are pregnant or parenting and need modified schedules, online options, and parenting and life skills built into their plan.
Students who need a reset
Youth who have dropped out, fallen behind, or struggled in traditional settings and are ready for a new start.
Our four core pillars of support.
Every student at The Bridge Youth Success Center has a personalized plan built on four pillars: academic stability, workforce skills, wellness, and life-readiness.
1. Academic Stability & Flexible Education
Hybrid online and in-person learning, credit recovery, smaller class sizes, and modified schedules for teen parents so students can earn a high school diploma.
2. Workforce & Career Training
Hands-on career pathways through SHCTA, including healthcare (CNA), IT & STEM, trades exposure, logistics, and entrepreneurship, plus work-based learning and internships.
3. Mental & Behavioral Wellness Support
Trauma-informed culture, behavioral support, referrals to counseling and mental health providers, and mentors who understand the impact of instability and loss.
4. Life & Independence Skills
Financial literacy, housing basics, parenting skills, communication, time management, and career professionalism so youth are prepared for adulthood.
The Bridge Pantry: no student left hungry.
When basic needs are met, students can focus on learning. The Bridge Pantry provides food, hygiene items, school supplies, and emergency support to students and families connected to SHCTA and The Bridge Youth Success Center.
Support the Bridge Pantry
Your donations help us keep shelves stocked for youth and families facing housing and food insecurity.
Students learn by serving others.
Our mission-based programming teaches students that their voice and service matter. Youth participate in community projects such as serving at shelters, visiting seniors, helping at Bridge Pantry events, and advocacy trips to Austin and college campuses.
You can help build the bridge.
We are actively seeking partners, sponsors, and volunteers who share our commitment to youth who are often overlooked. Whether you are a foster agency, group home, business, church, nonprofit, or individual, there is a place for you here.
